General Chemicals
Ethanolamine
Alias: ethanolamine, monoethanolamine, 2-aminoethanol
Chemical formula: C2H7NO
Appearance: Colorless liquid
Flash point: 93.3 C
Applications: Solvents, Antirust Agents

Physicochemical properties
Characters: Colorless viscous liquid with ammonia odor at room temperature, soluble in water, strong alkaline solution, can be mixed with water, ethanol and acetone. It can absorb carbon dioxide and hydrogen sulfide, and release absorbed gas after heating. It is flammable. It is dangerous to burn when exposed to open fire and high heat. Steam is poisonous. Some are hygroscopic. It has emulsifying and foaming effect.
toxicology data
1. Reproductive toxicity: rat oral TDLo: 500 mg/kg; rat oral TDLo: 4500 mg/kg; rat percutaneous TDLo: 2250 mg/kg.
2. Stimulation data: oral LD50:140 mg/kg in mice and oral LC50:700 mg/kg in mice.
3. This product has strong irritation to skin, eyes, mucosa and lungs. The maximum allowable concentration in the workplace is 7.485 mg/m3. Large olfactory threshold concentration ranged from 5.0 to 7.5 mg/m3. Inhalation poisoning can be prevented below the olfactory threshold concentration. Respiratory tract irritation is caused by high concentration. Liver and kidney damage can be caused by repeated exposure.

Storage method
1. Sealed and stored in a cool, ventilated and dry warehouse, fire-proof and moisture-proof. Nitrogen can be stored in glass, stainless steel or aluminium containers. It is corrosive to copper or copper alloys and should not be used as containers.
2. Packed in plastic barrels or new iron barrels, each barrel is (200 + 0.5) kg or (180 + 0.5) kg, the average net weight of each batch of products reaches 200 kg or 180 kg. Industrial ethanolamine should be stored in a clean, cool, dry and ventilated warehouse, and should be leak-proof, fire-proof and moisture-proof during transportation.
